Non-linear digital video editing is now the industry standard for professionals working in television, film and on the Internet. Demand for editors skilled in the leading digital post-production techniques with strong AVID training has caused non-linear editing to emerge as a growing specialty.
IADT's Post Production for Film & Television Program helps students gain the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to establish themselves as professionals in this evolving career field. Course instructors are current industry professionals who teach students in one of the largest installations of AVID systems in North America, providing an ideal training ground for learning.
Working with Digital Film, Television and Sound Technology departments can give students a thorough understanding of what a profession in the post-production environment is really like. Our five-term post production and AVID training includes coursework in studio management, nonlinear editing, history of film editing, and motion graphics.
As one of the final projects in our digital video editing training, students work through the entire post-production process of a short film, from acquiring footage and working with the director to sending the final edit off to a sound engineer for sound and scoring.
Take the first step today to prepare for a rewarding career in Digital Video Editing.
